The demand for smart phones has been on the rise, prompting the release of Nokia N82. The phone is loaded with features from the N Series camp such as integrated Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS. From afar it looks decent enough, even though the hardware is difficult to work with and has a distinct plastic feel. Although, once you master the controls, it should turn out to be an impressive phone.
The N82 features a 2.4 inch display screen that automatically adjusts to your lighting conditions and environment, which is a rather unique and impressive feature. It shows a riveting 16.7 colours onscreen at a beautiful resolution. It is a compact phone, weighing about 4 ounces, that makes it relatively lighter to some of the other N series handsets. The phone has a 5 megapixel Carl Zeiss optical lens camera with an added Xenon flash that immediately adds to the photo quality and good video. It comes with an integrated music player that supports many formats and a Real Player for videos. There are also many call features with good voice clarity. The talk time is up to 260 minutes.
The Nokia N82 offers powerful and useful features but loses out on design. Navigation is a difficult job and it lacks 3G support. Overall, it is an expensive phone but the quality of images makes up for it. Also, the Symbian OS adds to its utility. Ultimately it does work out as a smart phone and is a smart investment.
